Summer 2

On Monday, we thoroughly enjoyed our end of year trip to Crosby beach! We ate ice cream and McDonalds while also playing in the sand. We have spent lots of time walking on the playground this week and have enjoyed community walks to the shops. It has been a great year. This class has had wonderful children and amazing staff. We can’t wait to see the children continue to grow in the future!!

This week, we have been out shopping, visiting the playground, making pizza bread, exploring spa items and engaging in lots of turn-taking games. It was lovely to see so many parents at our school Summer Fest on Wednesday, while our Leavers Assembly on Thursday was as salient and emotional as ever. See you next week for the final week of term!

This week we have been enjoying end of year activities including making pancakes, Attention Autism, Sensology, writing in flour and community walks to the playground and the shops. The children have enjoyed playing lots of turn-taking games involving Lego, wooden blocks and miniature vehicles, as we develop our social and communication skills. It was lovely to see so many parents on parents evening this week as well! Have a nice weekend.

This week we have enjoyed activities including Story Massage, Sensology and Forest School! We have spent lots of time outdoors in the sun, exploring the Water Run and playing with sensory equipment such as bikes and scooters. We even set up an outdoor drinks and ice cream stand! The children continue to make great progress, see you again next week.

This week, we have been reading the sensory story ‘Commotion in the Ocean’, learning about the different sea animals. We have also been making the most of the sunny weather, walking to the shops to buy goods, including a birthday cake for one of the children! In class time, we made shortbread biscuits for the first time this year, which the children really enjoyed. Let’s hope the sunny weather continues into next week!

This week, we continued our ‘Summer’s Holiday’ theme with lots of imaginative play, including pretend ice cream shops, a beach and the water. We also visited our new, refurbished Light Room which is a fantastic sensory space! On Thursday, we enjoyed a Father’s Day afternoon, making cards and medals for our dads. See you next week.

Forest School

Our first week back has been a short one, however we have been busy! Our topic for the term is ‘A summer’s holiday’, and we have began our new sensory story ‘The Undersea Cleaning Spree’! We have also been making cheese and tomato pasta, and on Friday we visited the shops to buy goods to make some delicious sandwiches!
