Summer 1

Week 6

This week we have visited the library to return our books and choose new books. We have also been into the community to continue road safety and give out information posters for our Summer fest. We have played turn taking games and listening games and had lots of fun. We have also spent our last day before half term swimming and baking yummy cakes.

Week 5

We have had a great week exploring capacity and length in maths. We have also continued our story of Zog. We have a fantastic swimming lesson this week and all children went into the big pool. Some of our year 6 children went on a residential to Borwick hall and had a fantastic time.

Week 4

This week we have finished off our Vincent Van Gogh pictures. We have also continued reading the story Zog. We went on a picture hunt, we had to find the pictures in the order that they happened in the story. We have also made tissue paper dragons. We have enjoyed time in the sunshine making potions and messy play.

Week 3

This week has been another busy week. We have had a great week on the bikes, rebound and swimming. We have also enjoyed a woodland walk to the library as we now have library cards. We have been learning how to borrow a book from the library.

Week 2

This week we have had a lovely walk in the woods to the library. We all sat and read a book in the Library and next time we go hopefully we will all be able to take a book back to school with our library card. We have also continued our life skills as we are learning to use the air fryer. This week we have started our starry night picture and will continue this next week.

Week 1

We had a lovely first week back at school. Our Topic this half term is ‘Magical Make believe’

The story that we are reading for the next 2 weeks is the ‘Magic paintbrush’. Last week we also started to look at Vincent Van Gogh and his starry night paintwork. We then created our own piece of art on tin foil. We have been exploring length in maths this week and using cubes to measure different items around the classroom.
