Autumn Term 1
Week five.
This week we have started learning about the Colour Monster. We have looked at the story and started to learn about our emotions. We have began to sing lots of songs about emotions and beginning to recognise our emotions. We have been doing some lovely sensory mark making and Art.
Week four
Another fabulous week for our class. We have been looking at the changes in the weather and thinking about the changing of the seasons. We have had a fabulous day in Forest School with Ruth. We have been painting using our hands and lots of messy mark making. We have been making loads of choices using our communication aids. Well done everyone!

Week Three
We have had such a busy week this week! We have started a new session called Bounce. All the children have taken part and it has been a great success so far. We had our first trip on the bus and have been doing lots of fun activities outside when the weather hasn’t been awful! The children have been wonderful this week embracing new activities and showing fantastic communication. They have been accessing the light room and soft play and getting used to new activities in there too!
Week Two
This week we have begun to look at the story Monkey Puzzle as part of our All About Me topic. We had a fantastic first session in forest school and had our first rebound therapy session. The children did some fantastic art work this week. They are continuing to settle in really well and we are developing our relationships within class. The children are doing fantastically well settling into routines and are really improving in their tolerance of transitions! Well done everyone!

Week 1
We have had a really lovely first week in Jess class. We have been learning our new routines and getting to know each other. We have been doing ‘all about me’ painting and enjoying getting to know the new staff. We have been great at transitioning around school and enjoyed light room, soft play and the sensory playground.
