Christmas Fun!

Week beginning 5th December 2022

Our week started with three of our children going to White Ash Primary School in Oswaldtwistle.  They enjoyed a Christmas Quiz and singalong.  On the way back they stopped at the services and enjoyed their lunch with either a Costa Hot Chocolate or a McDonalds milkshake.

We have continued to complete lots of different Christmas activities and had a lovely photo taken for our calendars.

On Wednesday we enjoyed a trip to Bents Garden Centre.  The children were pleased to see Santa and get a sticker from him!  They enjoyed seeing all of the Christmas things and bought some things for our classroom with their budget.

We performed our Christmas songs on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon to our parents.  We all sang and signed the songs.

We had our last swimming lesson for this term.  We put our clothes on top of our swimming costumes and learnt some vital lifesaving skills.  We enjoyed playing a game at the end.

On Friday, we had chips from Sandy Lane chippy and enjoyed them!

We have had a great week learning all about Japan.  Japan is our World Cup country.  We have made a flag from red and white rice, a blossom tree, a fan, and a carp kite.  We have enjoyed trying on a Kimono and looking at other things from Japan.

On Wednesday we had Jeremy in our class so we were able to going out on the bus.  Before we left, we looked at the snack that we have in our class and wrote shopping lists.  We went to Aldi, in Maghull.  We had two trolley’s and split into two groups.  We used our shopping lists to find the things we needed and put them into a trolley.  When our lists were ticked off, we went to the till and paid for our things.  We then went to Glenn Park where we enjoyed playing and eating our lunch before going back to Kingsbury.

We have enjoyed light room, going in the bikes, soft play, sensory playground and some chill time in our class.

To end the week we went ‘around the world’ and visited other classes to find out a bit about the countries they had been learning about.  We completed activities and tasted some food from different countries.  When we went back to our class we tried some sushi.
