Week 3
We have continued our once upon a time topic but we read a new story ‘Hansel and Gretel’. We have been using our problem solving skills in all areas of learning this week.
Week 2
This week we have continued our story focus on ‘ The gingerbread man’. The children have been really engaged in activities such as measuring to see how tall the children man using different units of measure such as cubes and bottles. We have also been creating our own story map whilst retelling the story. The children had a fantastic forest school session and have also really enjoyed swimming.

Our topic this half term is ‘Once upon a time’ our first story focus is ‘The Gingerbread Man’.
This week we have had lots of fun reading the story, making gingerbread men to eat and gingerbread men cushions. We also completed an experiment to see what happened when we put the gingerbread man in water. We looked at the texture and all decided he became very soggy.
