Week 3
This week we have continued to explore 'Pirates'. We sailed the seven seas and learned all about the oceans of the world and labelled them on an interactive map. We have also looked at number sequences and identified missing numbers on the gold dabloons. We ended the week by celebrating Mel's birthday with her and had a class party with jelly, pizza and cake. Mel would like to say a big thank you to her staff and the children for making her day so special.
Week 2
This week we have had so much fun. We have focussed on pirates and have enjoyed becoming pirates ourselves. We found out what our pirate names were and learned how to speak and act like a pirate. We made a pirate ship in our outdoor area and had lots of pirate themed activities in P.E in the hall. We explored sea scapes and made our own by mixing blues and whites. Our creations are beautiful! We made our own treasure maps by dabbing tea bags onto paper and we had our own treasure hunt!

Week 1
Welcome back everyone. We hope you had a wonderful Easter! We have settled back into our school routine really well! Our new topic is ‘Magical Make Believe’ and we have explored the story ‘Story Soup’. We really enjoyed our sensory story and have used the same props to re-tell the story ourselves. Some of us even added our own ideas to the story to make it even more exciting! We have used our knife skills to cut ‘yellow sausages’ from the story and enjoyed tasting these in class, especially dipped in melted chocolate! We have started swimming again this term and all enjoyed getting back into the pool. We made American style pancakes in our sensory baking session and bought our toppings at our class tuck shop.
