FOREST SCHOOL

Forest School is an opportunity for children to play, explore and learn in our purpose built space within the school grounds. Forest School offers a unique educational experience that offers children to succeed, develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland environment. In Forest School sessions, children engage in motivating and achievable tasks throughout the year and in all weathers (with the appropriate footwear and clothing).

Children work with tools, take risks and learn in nature. They will grow in confidence and motivation whilst developing an understanding of the natural world. We aim to develop a love for the outdoors and educate our children about how to look after and develop our woodland area. Our vision is to build friendships and social skills to support the family ethos of Kingsbury so that children can communicate feelings, develop a sense of belonging and an understanding of their place in the community.
