Spring Term 1
Week Five - this week we celebrated Valentine’s Day and made pancakes for Shrove Tuesday! The children loved exploring the different ingredients especially eating them! We loved playing cooperatively with adults and peers and some of us enjoyed swimming! We hope everyone had a fantastic half term!
Week four - a fabulous and busy week this week. We have had a fantastic session in Forest School and some of us have finally made it swimming! We have been super organised and started some Valentines crafts. Of course we have had our usual sensory and physical play but we have also been doing messy maths this week! Thanks for a great week Jess’ Class.
Forest School
Week Three - this week we continued our Under The Sea Topic. We really love our sensory story and played with sand in Sensology. We also celebrated Burn’s night making hand print thistles and a learning about Burn’s night with songs and music from Scotland.
Week 2 - another fantastic week for the Sensory Seekers class. We had lots of snow this week so we made the most of it and played outside building a snowman! Well, the children loved knocking it down anyway! Unfortunately due to the weather we were not able to go swimming but we are looking forward to another session soon. We looked at the book and song A Hole at the Bottom of the Sea and children have loved exploring different sea creatures. We also had a fantastic Forest School session.
Forest School
Week One - we have had a lovely first week back. We have started our new topic ‘Under the Sea’. Some of us went swimming for the first time, and we can’t wait to take more children swimming. The children have loved lots of mark making activities and sensory exploration. We went on a fantastic trip to Dobbies Garden Centre too.
