Sensory Stories
What are Sensory Stories:
A sensory story is quite simply telling a story using a multisensory approach. By using props, objects, smells, sounds and tastes to bring a story to life it can bring a story to life and make it have meaning to the reader/ listener.
At Kingsbury we follow an exciting Topic based curriculum that is based around play and experiences. We base our learning around a text and try to immerse the children in the story through their senses by creating multisensory experiences. We encourage the children to get involved in the story acting it out using the equipment provided through Sensory Drama.
