Week 5

This week we have been looking at winter (before we start Christmas😁)  and we couldn’t have been luckier with the weather turning cold, which meant we could explore the cold and frost outside, we have been out and mark makes in it, we have explored coloured ice in shaving foam and rice to feel the difference . We have also printed some winter pictures using bubble wrap.

Week 4

This week we have been looking at nursery rhymes, we have sung lots of different ones but our favourite this week has been wheels on the bus!
We have practiced using or fine motor skills by adding and taking people off the bus. We have used our gross motor skills by “climbing on and off the bus” We have painted the bus, Painted the wheel on the bus using potatoes. We have used buses to paint tyre tracks, we have matched shapes on the bus.

Week 3

This week we have been celebrating World Nursery Rhyme Week. We chose ‘Wheels on the Bus ‘ so we have done lots of painting with buses, looking at shapes and numbers and lots of Parachute games to help us with out turn taking. We have had rebound, sensory playground, and light room too!
We built a bus for everyone to get on and off in soft play which was great fun!

Week 2

This week we have been looking at Bonfire Night, fireworks and later in the week we have looked at Remembrance Day. We have completed lots of activities that are helping us develop our gross and fine motor skills. We have been working really hard on learning to turn take and we have been trying really hard with our communication.

Week 1

This term our over arching topic is ‘ Music and Movement’ so this week we are using 10 little monsters as our story and covering Halloween! We have created some really scary witches, and some silly spiders to decorate our class room. We have ‘Run the gauntlet’ in PE to avoid being caught by the scary witch (Jo😆) and we have made some exciting potions too!
