Spring Term 1
Week 5
As it is the last week of term and there are lots of exciting things coming up this week we have had a bit of a celebrations week we have looked at Chinese New Year, valentines Day and pancake Day.
We also practised our attention skills, gross motor skills and fine motor skills, in soft play we build a ‘Dragon’ and even made a bunch of flowers using our handprints for those special ladies in our life - We hope you liked them.
Week 4
This week we have continued to read Up, up, up through our sensory story, we have also continued to work on our joint attention through intensive interactions, bucket and sensology. We enjoyed Rebound and outside play to develop our gross motor skills. We also worked on our fine motor skills by mark making. We also enjoyed sensory baking

Week 3
We are continuing our theme of transport, using Up, up, up as our story, we have worked really hard this week on focusing our attention through activities such as ‘Bucket’ ‘Sensology’ ‘intensive interactions’ and Sensory story. We have also practiced our life skills such as hand washing and brushing our hair, as well as each others - well Jo,s 😁 We have worked on our number recognition, shape recognition and colour recognition. We also went out on our first community walk and went to the local park, the children all really enjoyed it.
Week 2
This week we have still enjoyed our story ‘ We all go travelling by’ We have enjoyed lots of messy play, including shaving foam, flour, and rice, we have made marks in them all and we have had fun discovering the different textures. We have also enjoyed sensory PE in the hall as well as story massage where we able to make choices sing our communication boards. We made fruit skewers which were yummy, some of us liked them some of us didn’t! We also went on our first community walk to the park - it was great fun.
Week 1
This week we have started our transport topic, we are using the story ‘ We all go travelling by’ We have enjoyed sensology, sensory story, ‘bucket’ dough disco and and lots of mark making using different tyres. We have worked hard to improve our shared attention and our gross and fine motor skills.
