Spring Term 2

Week Six - we have had a really lovely last week of term. We did lots more Easter crafts for you to enjoy and had an Easter Bonnet parade! We have made rice crispie cakes and Easter wreaths. We have had a truly lovely half term!

Week Five - this week we have had a forest school and continued our Easter crafts. In sensology we explored different textures and tastes. We made cakes in sensory baking and as the weather was nicer this week we played hopscotch outside.

Forest School

Week Four - this week we started our Easter crafts and had lots of lovely Easter messy play. We counted some bunnies and commented on things we liked or didn’t like. Some of us also went swimming. We have had a lovely week.

Week Three - we have had an extremely busy week this week getting prepared for Mother’s Day. We made some lovely presents for our mums and special women in our lives. We made bath bombs in messy play with lots of lovely smells. We also made some room spray and a lovely card using celery for the roses! We baked some lovely egg free cakes and biscuits, we decorated some plant pots and we planted some plants. We had the loveliest time with our mums and those who couldn’t make it loved their gifts. We also had a lovely day on World Book Day with some of the children dressing up. We continued with our Under the Sea topic exploring different sea creatures.

Forest School

Week Two - another fabulous week. We have learned about Saint David’s Day, eaten Welsh cakes and painted a daffodil. We had a fantastic time at the Colour Run and loved getting messy as always! The children are getting more and more confident with their swimming and we love doing sensory and having Sensology. In our Topic we painted sea turtles using a potato masher!

Week One - This week we have looked at a new book Commotion in the Ocean. We were looking at Crabs and how they walk. We made hand print crabs. We have looked at what Lent is and made some handprint leaves for a Lenten Tree. We did some mark making with celery, it made great scales on fish. We have a fantastic new swing and we did lots of regulation activities using it. The children loved it and so did the adults! So calming. Some of us went swimming and did so well! We had a fantastic but very wet Forest School session. Our little class is doing so well! Fantastic week Jess’ Class!
