Autumn Term 2

16th December 

 

This week has been our final week in school before Christmas.
 

Merry Christmas from all in Eddie’s Class

We have enjoyed a variety of Christmas activities the week. Below are some of the activities we have participated in:

 

- Performed our Christmas play in front of a large crowd

- Wrote a Christmas list and posted it to the North Pole

- Decorated our class tree

- Re-read our Christmas story 

- Tacpac

- Visited the barbers and hairdressers again 

- Lots of art and learning through play

Forest School Tuesday

2nd December

 

This week we have continued to learn about people that help us. We visited our local barber shop and hairdressers with a view to cutting the children’s hair over the next few weeks. Below are a few of the different activities we have participated in this week:

 

- Read the multi sensory story A Letter to Santa

- Forest School 

- Yoga

- Story Massage

- Following visual and written instructions to make pizza

- Music 

- Attention Autism 

- Lots of learning through our continuous provision

 

25th Nov

 

This week we have learnt about people who help us and we have again learnt though nursery rhymes. Our focus was hospitals and doctors. On Friday we participated in a World Cup enrichment and visited different classes. Each class had a county theme and we learnt about that country.  Check out some of the activities below:

 

- Multi sensory nursery rhymes

- Attention Autism

- Exchanging goods for coins

- Preparing for our World Cup classroom USA. Lots of arts, crafts and cooking 

- Road safety

- Lots of learning in our continuous provision and PLOs  

18th November 

 

On Monday we remembered the soldiers from WW2 by creating tissue paper poppies. Below are some of the activities we participated in this week:

 

- Different fine motor and writing activities

- Attention Autism learning to wash and dry hair

- Story massage

- Music

- TACPAC

- Cooking - pizza wraps and fruit salad

- Lots of learning through play and PLOs

Forest School Tuesday

11th November 

 

We’ve had an action packed week learning about people who help us. Please check out some of the activities we have done this week:

 

- Read the sensory story I’m a Little Fire Fighter

- We created a group painting of a fire engine

- Followed step by step verbal and visual instructions to draw a fire engine

- Interactive Nursery Rhymes 

-  We went to Asda to buy items for cooking 

- Cooking pizza

- Dough Gym

- Lots of PLOs and learning through play

 

4th November 

 

This week was our first week back after the holidays. On Monday we celebrated Halloween and towards the end of the week our theme was Bonfire Night. This half term we are learning about people that help us. See some of this week’s activities below;

- Musical percussion
