A visit from Skelmersdale Police

Earlier this week, we had some very special visitors at school.
Two officers from Skelmersdale Police came to see some of our children with one of their patrol cars. The children have been learning about the Police this term as part of our 'Helping Hands' topic.
A big thank you to Kathryn for organising this visit and to the two officers from Skelmersdale Police for taking the time to come and see the children and show them your uniform and patrol car; they had lots of fun!

We highly recommend you have a look at the resources if your child has access to any online apps and games.
Everyday this week we will share one of the National Online Safety's #WakeUpWednesday posters on our Facebook page and our Online Safety page to highlight the pros and cons of some of the most popular online games.

Skelmersdale Warm Winter Coat Campaign
Fri 11 Nov 2022This week the ROC Skem Action Group launched their Skelmersdale Warm Winter Coat Campaign which allows the people of Skelmersdale the opportunity to donate coats, blankets, hats, scarfs, gloves and warm jumpers to neighbours in need this winter.

Stay & Play Afternoon
Thu 10 Nov 2022On Thursday 20th October we held a parent/carers Stay and Play Afternoon alongside the grand opening of our Sensory Playground.
It was lovely to have parents and carers back in school again and show them the amazing building work that took place over the summer holidays!
If you missed this event, don’t panic there will be plenty more over the next academic year.

A visit from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service!
Fri 04 Nov 2022'The Stinger' Fire Engine came to visit!
Yesterday, we had some very special visitors come to school.
The Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service came to school with their fire engine called 'The Stinger' which was very cool. The children have been learning about the Fire Brigade this week as part of our 'Helping Hands' topic, so it was great for them to see a real-life fire engine!
A big thank you to Kathryn for organising this visit and to the Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service for taking the time to come and see the children and show them 'The Stinger'.
