What do these letters mean? (Acronyms)
During your child’s time at Kingsbury you may come across many acronyms used to abbreviate words! Here are some of the most commonly used ones but please contact school if you hear any others that you are unsure about!

CIN – Child In Need
LAC – Looked After Child
PEP – Personal Education Plan (Only carried out when a child is looked after.)
TAF – Team Around the Family
VI – Visual impairment
BM – Bowel Movement
HI – Hearing impairment
SPD – Sensory Processing Disorder
MSI – Multi-Sensory Impairment
CAMHS – Child And Adolescent Mental Health Service
SALT – Speech and Language Therapy
OT – Occupational therapy
PLO’s – Personal Learning Outcomes (set for each child termly)
EHCP – Educational Health Care Plan
EfL – Evidence for Learning
TA – Teaching assistant
HLTA – High level teaching assistant
EAL – English as an additional language
KS – Key Stage
