    Operation Encompass

At Kingsbury, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils is our highest priority. We are proud to be part of Operation Encompass, a national safeguarding initiative that supports children who may have been affected by domestic abuse.

Operation Encompass is a partnership between schools and the police. Following an incident of domestic abuse where a child has been present, witnessed the incident, or may otherwise have been affected, the police will securely share information with the school's trained Key Adult before the start of the next school day.

This information allows us to provide appropriate support and understanding to children who may be experiencing difficulties as a result of events at home. The support offered will always be tailored to the individual needs of the child and handled in a sensitive and confidential manner.

As an SEN school, we recognise that some children may communicate their feelings and experiences differently. By receiving timely information through Operation Encompass, we can ensure that the right support is available to help our pupils feel safe, secure and ready to learn.

    Key Adults

Our Operation Encompass Key Adults are:

    • Helen Smith, Head Teacher
    • Kate Lanka, Acting Deputy Head Teacher
