WISH – West Lancashire Inclusion Support Hub
WISH – West Lancashire Inclusion Support Hub
WISH is a school led system supporting schools and colleagues across West Lancashire in reducing exclusions across our schools and improving inclusion and access to education for all of our pupils to help them succeed and thrive.
WISH provides outreach support led by Kingsbury School with additional support from Shares. We also provide CPD and school specific support and training to ensure we are able to support our pupils to succeed and achieve in school. These sessions respond to needs across our area but can be tailored to a school’s particular needs and delivered as insets, staff meetings or twilight sessions.
In order to access this service, you will need to complete the referral form (please see attachment) outlining the needs of the pupil and any support already in place for this pupil or other services accessed already. Please ensure you have parental permission before requesting our support.
Once we have received your referral, you will be contacted by a member of the WISH team to gather further information and arrange observations of the pupil in the setting. Support will then be offered for a set number of sessions, with timings agreed with you. We will also ensure check-ins and evaluations are completed at the end of this period to evaluate the impact of the support and support you in continuing to support the pupil. If further support is required, this can be purchased after this initial support process.
