    At Kingsbury Primary School, we believe that every child deserves a nurturing and supportive environment to thrive in both their academic and personal growth. Our dedicated pastoral team is committed to fostering emotional well-being and helping students achieve emotional regulation, which is essential for effective learning. Together, this dynamic team employs a variety of approaches to create a safe and inclusive atmosphere where every student can flourish.

    Our pastoral team work collaboratively to provide tailored support for all students and families. 

    Christina is our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and Outreach specialist. 

    Trish, as our Family Support Worker, engages with families to ensure that they have the resources they need to support their children at home.

    Alice, our Sensory Regulation Lead, focuses on helping children develop the skills to manage sensory experiences, promoting a calm and focused learning environment.

    Rowan, our Communication Lead, enhances students' communication skills, enabling them to express their feelings and needs effectively through a range of approaches.

    Rachael, our Communication and Intervention lead, fosters children's abilities to learn and communicate their needs and wants by providing one-to-one support to children. You may also recognise Rachel from our Makaton Sign of the Week. 

    Alison, our Thrive, Team Teach, and Play Therapy Lead, uses a holistic approach for supporting children's social and emotional development.
    Alison is a licensed Thrive practitioner with 18 years of experience in primary education, dedicated to supporting children’s social and emotional development through a holistic approach. With a First-Class Honours degree in ‘Integrated Children and Young People’s Practice’ and certification in Team-Teach, she specializes in managing challenging behaviors and fostering safe, supportive environments. Currently pursuing a master’s in Play Therapy, Alison helps children express emotions and build resilience through creative play.

    Sarah, our Medical and Physical Lead, ensures that students with medical or physical needs are supported and included in all aspects of school life.

    Toni, our Behavioural Lead, implements strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional resilience.
